Recording Vocals

So I am thinking I am still making the same mistake but only this time with my vocals.

I am I also suppose to use the AMP / DIRECT INBOX Device with a Singing Mic for vocals as well or is that only mean't to power your guitar ?

Your interface should be able to accept a normal microphone for vocals as well.
Does it have an XLR input? The big 3 pin connector.

Which interface do you have?

YUP ,

3 Big Pins and yeah it would be making sense to use it.

Sounds great with the guitar ,

I'm been so THICK HEADED to not then use it with vocals

So yeah Plug Mic into the XLR and then use a Guitar Cable for the OUTPUT feed into CAPTURE.

Obviously use THE COMPLETE CLEAN Channel ,

No Idea why I never thought of doing this before

I don't know what the blue thing is in the first picture, but plugging in a microphone with a normal jack cord into the Duo-capture (mic/guitar) should definetely work too.

I think the "blue thing" is a Behringer GDI21 guitar pre-amp? If so, that XLR connection is a balanced output, not an input?

Is there any reason you're not just plugging your microphone into the Duo Capture? You might need a different lead if you've currently only got an XLR one. Does your mic need phantom power?

Have you adjusted the buttons on the back (Input Gain / Hi-Z) when using your mic? (sorry if it's an obvious question and you have)
