Seems like you can spare the money that you possibly planned to invest in the Waldorf Streichfett. A user at sequencer.de who uses lots of vintage synths and string machines (Logan, Crumar, Solina, Roland, ...) says:
"Tested it extensively at the MusikMesse today. To me it rather sounds like a [KORG] Wavestation than like a string machine. Very sad, because my expectations were very high."
and
"The biggest disappointment for me was the Waldorf Streichfett (and I'm a big Waldorf fan). Sorry, but my old AN1x has more convincing strings and sounds inside. You don't get the stardust of those old string machines with this one. Bummer!"
