I just ordered two sets of replacement stickers. A guy in Britain offers vinyl KORG logos and he was willing to send me extra large versions (205mm) that will hopefully look very similar to the original logo.

Meanwhile I have stripped off a lot of the ugly paint. Cleaning the keys is very painful, because all of them have traces of the old black spray paint on the sides and the front. The previous paint job was horribly and amateurishly done. :?

I'm sure this is going to be back to its former glory when you have finished Pepe.

I'm looking forward to hearing about each stage of the restoration. With pix, if possible ;)

As you wish! :)

The black paint is almost completely removed now. These are pics from a few hours ago:

And I cleaned those parts already. It was a very tough job, because everything had traces of black paint on it.

Last weekend I bought an awesome plastic polish at the hardware store:

Image

A few of the organ keys looked terrible with a lot of scratches and some had burn marks, just like this one:

After a first sand paper treatment it looked like this:

This is the result of the first polish:

And that's how the key looks now after another sandpaper and polish treatment:

Image

At another angle you can barely see the spot anymore:

It's a tough job to polish all the 36 white keys, but the result will look very fresh - almost like new. 8-)

And I completely stripped off the paint of the chassis and smoothened the surface with wood filler:

I even made the cut-out area very smooth so that it will hopefully look pretty good once it's painted black:
