Leaking Capacitors

Hi!

I have an amplifier failure! An Ibanez TSA15H stopped working. Amp appeared to power up but no signal. Eventually opened it up and found a failed capacitor has leaked. Other than this and general dust, everything appears OK. Amp was made in China, and I am using it in Thailand! (heat a factor?)

Looks like its rated at max 85 Deg C and its had a serious meltdown. Original component is Chinese. I have ordered some replacement Panasonics that are rated up to 105 Deg C. These should be here in a few days and I will replace this Cap and then also clean up the circuit board.

From then it will be suck it and see if anything else has blown, ....... there are no obvious indications. Cap is in the power circuit to the 12AX7 pre amp tubes, but not sure it's function. Simply decoupling / noise filtering??. Will post an extract from the circuit to follow.

Any thoughts, experience? can I expect there to be further trouble in the circuit, or should the Cap fix do the trick. Time will tell, but would welcome any expert input.

cheers

Extract from section of circuit diagram, C34 is the culprit!

Actually, I don't think that this capacitor has leaked. This brown substance looks more like a glue, that holds capacitor on the PCP.
According to the schematic you have provided this capacitor is located in 12AX7 filament powering circuit, they use 12V DC to power heaters to have less hum and buzz. So if you have multimeter you can check, but be careful and do not touch any other components, cause there could be a high voltage! But also if 12AX7 glows this circuit should be fine.
Diode bridge, two capacitors, voltage regulator and then one more capacitor - pretty common schematic for power supply.
