Clicking links....

Clicking links....

Postby DasBeef » Tue Feb 28, 2012 5:16 pm

When I click a link on this forum, it opens in the tab I am on. Is it possible to change it so that it opens in a new tab? Or am I a dumbass and these settings are somewhere in my browser?

It's not really that easy to do. And as is always the case with something like this there's probably as many people who like it the other way around.

I just middle click (in Chrome) links I want in another tab. It works the same in modern versions of Firefox and IE.

Yeah, I can get it to do it. I'm just so used to other forums automatically doing it, that when it doesn't do it here, I keep closing the tab I meant to keep open. Then I get angry with myself. Then I have beer. It's a vicious cycle, I tell thee!

But yeah, no worries. Just thought I'd enquire.....

I hold the STRG key when clicking on a link. No drug problems here.

I do the same.

(I might add that the majority of users here will not have any "Strg" key... :geek:)

"Command" + click for me.

I, too, find myself frustrated and in need of depressants when I lose SBZ to some outside link..

Many browsers will have a checkbox in the settings that you can use to choose whether to open links on the same tab or on a new one as the default. Look in your browser settings.
