OK ok!! part of me wanted to create more obscure clues but I also could not wait to share my enthusiasm about this pedal! I am no stranger to fuzz face type effects, (I even have a JFET fuzz face that makes slow gear sounds no kidding! ) what I love about laurie's GHF gets right to the most useful fuzz face design because the sound is so predictably controlled with guitar's volume knob. I was telling gasgano this is oddly serendipitous, I have everything else i need in my rig but was narrowing down to just one first in line dirt pedal.

RE: the FZ-5

I believe the guitarist from semi-mildly famous-NME hyped for a week, Glasvegas has one on his board :)

I actually quite liked mine - the FF sound in particular through a nice tube amp was quite gnarly and authentic

I hate having pedals off the board sitting on a shelf. A pedal of that quality cannot be sitting on a shelf. I loved the construction, loved the quality of the sound, but I'm just not a fuzz guy. Everytime I try a fuzz or an overdrive I'm like "WOW THIS IS THE COOLEST THING" and then go back to distorsion and realize it's really my thing.

Considering it was given to me by Laurie himself, I figured its best fate was to be passed along over to a better home in that trade even if it is no cheap pedal at all. I'm just glad charmonder likes it like it deserves.

I really like the way you think. Great to know that a DingoTone pedal (production model! ;) ) fell into the right hands through this tour.
